Holy. Crap. This is driving me up the wall. I realized that I couldn't see some things, but whenever I go to adjust my gamma, the top row is too far one way, bottom is too far the other way, but onlyyyy the middle is ok. So, you know, if my head moves an inch, I can't see the color correctly! 8c Anyone got any clever ideas besides just linking to a monitor or something?

1) Unwelcomed critique is unwelcome. Please only take the time to critique if I have specifically asked for it! 2) Please do not write creepy junk to me, that's also unwelcome. 3) There is no rule #3 ---- Violation = me ignore you. I am not a horribly mean person, I just sound like one because I don't make much effort to be tactful, so please do not be intimidated if you want to ask me a question! If it is personal, however, chances are I will not answer it... Rules are as above to prevent flame wars, butthurtedness, etc, Thank you!

Oh, my! Thank you for the :+devwatch: :D
Hey,

I got blocked from responding to things on the other thread for apparently saying artists have it easy (don't know how he got that from me saying that general sciences is just as hard as art, but whatever). If you don't mind, I would like to continue our conversation about lab partners ^^;

My response was:
"ouch. Having to teach subtraction would be pretty harsh xD One time my lab partner turned up stoned. It would have been quite funny had we not been working with high concentration acids, which he seemed determined to drink. Thankfully he was tossed from the lab before he hurt himself. It was quite frightening. o:

Beyond that, I generally have had pretty good luck with lab partners. Although, I don't mind explaining things to people. Just about everyone is a good match for me. However, I do know how frustrating it is to be on the other end. Some times you just don't get it no matter how many times your partner and teacher explains it. I hate it when that makes me less then helpful in a lab. "
ahaha how odd. :V
it did seem very apparent that the sciences were getting belittled aha!

--wow. that is absolutely terrifying. >_< I might have just let him drink it if I were in a foul mood hahahahahhha (notreally)... oh you 6M HCl...
Yeah, I do try to be patient if they don't understand something in the lab that's... you know, relevant. Like if they don't understand why you do some step or why you use this equation over another one, but yeah hahaha beyond that I start to lose my patience! (in my notebook, i draw blank lines for where i put raw data before I organize it into my table. My partner asked: "so it's filter and glass divided by... empty minus 46??" where i wrote: mass filter, glass, empty: 46.86.." why was she copying that 30 minutes afterward anyway!)
I think it's fine though if it's like... one off day some week, but man, all the time I just can't handle. My technique is to just refer them to the TA because I'm either not teaching it very well or whatever the reason is. Teaching it to others, I agree can help for learning, but... yerrg. It can get to be detrimental...
hahaha xD but yahhhhhh. You don't want to mess with the HCl... 0-0 Though it is fun to try and dissolve things it it xD

and ouch. Its so annoying when they just sit there not understanding, and then it comes back to bite you by the end of the lab. I mean, why couldn't they have said something ten minutes ago as we were doing the experiment? D= I don't bite. Though, I think my favorite screw up was when my lab partner (she was an excellent partner to) called me on the midnight before the lab write up was due and was like, 'I forgot to write down the data, can you email it to me? 0-0'. I couldn't stop laughing at her, but she was freaking out (understandably). She's lucky I wasn't asleep xD

and yah. The labs are already frustrating enough, but that's what the TA's are for right?
